AN ACT
Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in other offenses, providing for the <--
offense of greyhound race simulcasting; and prescribing a
penalty further providing for the offense of greyhound <--
racing.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 7516 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
§ 7516. Greyhound racing and simulcasting.
(a) Racing.--A person who holds, conducts or operates a
greyhound race for public exhibition in this Commonwealth for
monetary remuneration commits a misdemeanor of the first degree.
(b) Simulcasting.--A person who transmits or receives
interstate or intrastate simulcasting of a greyhound race for <--
commercial purposes in this Commonwealth for monetary <--
remuneration commits a misdemeanor of the first degree.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
