AN ACT

Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes, in other offenses, providing for the

offense of greyhound race simulcasting; and prescribing a

penalty further providing for the offense of greyhound

racing.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

7

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Section 7516 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania

9

Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:

10

§ 7516.  Greyhound racing and simulcasting.

11

(a)  Racing.--A person who holds, conducts or operates a

12

greyhound race for public exhibition in this Commonwealth for

13

monetary remuneration commits a misdemeanor of the first degree.

14

(b)  Simulcasting.--A person who transmits or receives

15

interstate or intrastate simulcasting of a greyhound race for

commercial purposes in this Commonwealth for monetary

17

remuneration commits a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
