| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania |
2 | Consolidated Statutes, in other offenses, providing for the | <-- |
3 | offense of greyhound race simulcasting; and prescribing a |
4 | penalty further providing for the offense of greyhound | <-- |
5 | racing. |
6 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
7 | hereby enacts as follows: |
8 | Section 1. Section 7516 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania |
9 | Consolidated Statutes is amended to read: |
10 | § 7516. Greyhound racing and simulcasting. |
11 | (a) Racing.--A person who holds, conducts or operates a |
12 | greyhound race for public exhibition in this Commonwealth for |
13 | monetary remuneration commits a misdemeanor of the first degree. |
14 | (b) Simulcasting.--A person who transmits or receives |
15 | interstate or intrastate simulcasting of a greyhound race for | <-- |
16 | commercial purposes in this Commonwealth for monetary | <-- |
17 | remuneration commits a misdemeanor of the first degree. |
18 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
