       AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in  relation  to  requiring
         signage alerting motorists of red light cameras
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Subdivision (a) of section 1111-a of the vehicle and  traf-
    2  fic law is amended by adding a new paragraph 3 to read as follows:
    3    3.  SUCH  DEMONSTRATION  PROGRAM  SHALL INCLUDE SIGNAGE AT EACH INTER-
    4  SECTION WHERE A TRAFFIC-CONTROL SIGNAL PHOTO VIOLATION-MONITORING DEVICE
    5  IS IN OPERATION. SUCH SIGNAGE SHALL WARN THAT A  TRAFFIC-CONTROL  SIGNAL
    6  PHOTO VIOLATION-MONITORING DEVICE IS OPERATING AT SUCH INTERSECTION.
    7    S 2. Subdivision (a) of section 1111-b of the vehicle and traffic law,
    8  as  added  by chapter 19 of the laws of 2009, is amended by adding a new
    9  paragraph 3 to read as follows:
   10    3. SUCH DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM SHALL INCLUDE  SIGNAGE  AT  EACH  INTER-
   11  SECTION WHERE A TRAFFIC-CONTROL SIGNAL PHOTO VIOLATION-MONITORING DEVICE
   12  IS  IN  OPERATION. SUCH SIGNAGE SHALL WARN THAT A TRAFFIC-CONTROL SIGNAL
   13  PHOTO VIOLATION-MONITORING DEVICE IS OPERATING AT SUCH INTERSECTION.
   14    S 3. Subdivision (a) of section 1111-b of the vehicle and traffic law,
   15  as added by chapter 20 of the laws of 2009, is amended by adding  a  new
   16  paragraph 3 to read as follows:
   17    3.  SUCH  DEMONSTRATION  PROGRAM  SHALL INCLUDE SIGNAGE AT EACH INTER-
   18  SECTION WHERE A TRAFFIC-CONTROL SIGNAL PHOTO VIOLATION-MONITORING DEVICE
   19  IS IN OPERATION. SUCH SIGNAGE SHALL WARN THAT A  TRAFFIC-CONTROL  SIGNAL
   20  PHOTO VIOLATION-MONITORING DEVICE IS OPERATING AT SUCH INTERSECTION.
   21    S 4. Subdivision (a) of section 1111-b of the vehicle and traffic law,
   22  as  added  by chapter 21 of the laws of 2009, is amended by adding a new
   23  paragraph 3 to read as follows:
   24    3. SUCH DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM SHALL INCLUDE  SIGNAGE  AT  EACH  INTER-
   25  SECTION WHERE A TRAFFIC-CONTROL SIGNAL PHOTO VIOLATION-MONITORING DEVICE
   26  IS  IN  OPERATION. SUCH SIGNAGE SHALL WARN THAT A TRAFFIC-CONTROL SIGNAL
   27  PHOTO VIOLATION-MONITORING DEVICE IS OPERATING AT SUCH INTERSECTION.

    1    S 5. Subdivision (a) of section 1111-b of the vehicle and traffic law,
    2  as added by chapter 22 of the laws of 2009, is amended by adding  a  new
    3  paragraph 3 to read as follows:
    4    3.  SUCH  DEMONSTRATION  PROGRAM  SHALL INCLUDE SIGNAGE AT EACH INTER-
    5  SECTION WHERE A TRAFFIC-CONTROL SIGNAL PHOTO VIOLATION-MONITORING DEVICE
    6  IS IN OPERATION. SUCH SIGNAGE SHALL WARN THAT A  TRAFFIC-CONTROL  SIGNAL
    7  PHOTO VIOLATION-MONITORING DEVICE IS OPERATING AT SUCH INTERSECTION.
    8    S 6. Subdivision (a) of section 1111-b of the vehicle and traffic law,
    9  as  added  by chapter 23 of the laws of 2009, is amended by adding a new
   10  paragraph 3 to read as follows:
   11    3. SUCH DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM SHALL INCLUDE  SIGNAGE  AT  EACH  INTER-
   12  SECTION WHERE A TRAFFIC-CONTROL SIGNAL PHOTO VIOLATION-MONITORING DEVICE
   13  IS  IN  OPERATION. SUCH SIGNAGE SHALL WARN THAT A TRAFFIC-CONTROL SIGNAL
   14  PHOTO VIOLATION-MONITORING DEVICE IS OPERATING AT SUCH INTERSECTION.
   15    S 7. Subdivision (a) of section 1111-b of the vehicle and traffic law,
   16  as added by chapter 383 of the laws of 2009, is amended by adding a  new
   17  paragraph 3 to read as follows:
   18    3.  SUCH  DEMONSTRATION  PROGRAM  SHALL INCLUDE SIGNAGE AT EACH INTER-
   19  SECTION WHERE A TRAFFIC-CONTROL SIGNAL PHOTO VIOLATION-MONITORING DEVICE
   20  IS IN OPERATION. SUCH SIGNAGE SHALL WARN THAT A  TRAFFIC-CONTROL  SIGNAL
   21  PHOTO VIOLATION-MONITORING DEVICE IS OPERATING AT SUCH INTERSECTION.
   22    S 8. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
   23  it  shall have become a law, provided that the amendments to subdivision
   24  (a) of section 1111-a of the vehicle and traffic law made by section one
   25  of this act and subdivision (a) of sections 1111-b of  the  vehicle  and
   26  traffic  law  made  by sections two, three, four, five, six and seven of
   27  this act shall not affect the expirations of such sections and shall  be
   28  deemed  expired and repealed therewith. Effective immediately, the addi-
   29  tion, amendment and/or repeal of any rule or  regulation  necessary  for
   30  the implementation of this act on its effective date is authorized to be
   31  made on or before such date.
