        MOURNING  the  death  of  Patricia  M. Fox Reilly,
        dedicated elected official,  registered  nurse,  and
        committed volunteer

  WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens  of  the  State  of  New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and

  WHEREAS, Patricia M. Fox Reilly of Mount Kisco,  New  York  died  on
November 29, 2022, at the age of 91; and

  WHEREAS,  Born to the late Mayor J. Edward Fox and Mary Fox on April
16, 1931, in Mount Kisco, New York, Patricia M. Fox Reilly lived a  life
of service and commitment to community; and

  WHEREAS,  Patricia  M.  Fox  Reilly  attended  Saint Francis Grammar
School and the Academy of Our Lady of Good Counsel  before  moving  onto
her  post-secondary  education  at  St.  Vincent's  Hospital  School  of
Nursing, New York University (B.S. in Nursing), and Western  Connecticut
State  University  (M.S.);  she  first  worked at the, then, Mount Kisco
Hospital, beginning her career there in 1951; and

  WHEREAS,  Patricia  M.  Fox  Reilly  distinguished  herself  in  her
profession and by her sincere dedication and substantial contribution to
the welfare of her community; and

  WHEREAS,  Serving  as  an  elected  official  in Mount Kisco for ten
years, Patricia M. Fox Reilly was a Trustee for six years, and fulfilled
the esteemed role of Mayor for four; a lifelong citizen of the  village,
she  was motivated to make significant, positive change and impacts that
would leave the area better than she found it; and

  WHEREAS, After raising her six children, Patricia M. Fox Reilly  was
employed  as  a  Nurse-Teacher  and  Health  Services Coordinator in the
Bedford Central School District for many years; she  also  continued  to
lend  her  time  as a substitute nurse in the school system for a period
after her retirement; additionally, she worked at the Swiss Home in  her
free time; and

  WHEREAS,  Faith  was  also  incredibly  important in Patricia M. Fox
Reilly's life; she was a lifelong parishioner of Saint Francis of Assisi
Church, and served as a Lay  Eucharistic  Minister  and  member  of  the
Parish Council; and

  WHEREAS,  The  recipient  of  numerous  accolades  and recognitions,
Patricia M. Fox Reilly  has  been  honored  by  each  of  the  following
organizations  over  her  lifetime:  Ladies  Ancient Order of Hibernians
(Past President); Mount Kisco Historical Society (trustee);  Friends  in
Service  Helping  (FISH)  (coordinator & driver); Salvation Army (former
district volunteer); Boys & Girls Club of  Northern  Westchester  (Board
Member  for  48  years);  Search  for  Change (Director); Beautification
Committee  (Trustee  &  Former  Chairperson);  Mount  Kisco   Recreation

Commission  (Former  Chairperson); Mount Kisco Seniors (Past President &
Vice President);  Northern  Westchester  Hospital  Presidents'  Council;
Alpha  Beta  Delta  Sorority (Former President); Memorial Day Committee;
and  Woodcrest  Homeowners  Association (Past President & Board Member);
and

  WHEREAS, She was the Grand  Marshall  of  the  Saint  Patrick's  Day
Parade  in  Mount  Kisco,  Aide  to the Grand Marshall for the NYC Saint
Patrick's Day Parade; was inducted into the  Westchester  County  Senior
Citizen  Hall  of Fame; was the Knights of Columbus Recognition of Civic
Leader of the Year; received the Salvation Army Volunteer Award, and was
Mount Kisco Citizen of the Year in 1991; and

  WHEREAS, Patricia M. Fox Reilly's commitment to excellence, and  her
spirit  of  humanity,  carried  over  into  all  fields  of  enterprise,
including charitable and civic endeavors; and

  WHEREAS, With a love for spending  time  with  family  and  friends,
Patricia  M.  Fox Reilly cherished her six decades of memories from time
spent in Cape Cod; she was  often  involved  in  numerous  parades,  and
cherished  time  spent together with family on holidays, always inviting
more and more guests to join in on the festivities; and

  WHEREAS, Patricia M. Fox Reilly is survived by her  beloved  sister,
Joan; her cherished children, Marlene, Edward, Patrick, Kathy, John, and
Kevin;  her adored thirteen grandchildren, Kristina, Dustin, Kelly, Ian,
Bridget, Patrick A., Brian, Catie, Martha, Charlie,  Teddy,  Aleah,  and
Danny;  and  her  many  cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who became
family  throughout  her   lifetime;   she   was   predeceased   by   her
brother-in-law,  William, "Bill," who rounded out the "three musketeers"
of Pat, Joan, and Bill; and

  WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a  sense  of
compassion,  Patricia  M.  Fox  Reilly leaves behind a legacy which will
long endure the passage of time and will remain as a  comforting  memory
to all she served and befriended; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Patricia M. Fox Reilly, dedicated  elected  official,
registered nurse, and committed volunteer; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Patricia M. Fox Reilly.
