A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

Relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the twenty-seventh representative district.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2015-2016:

     1.   To be expended by the department of education:

     A.  Liliha public library, Oahu

         Electrical, equipment, and facility costs for the extension of current library hours to include operations on Sundays.

         Total funding                            $500,000

     B.  Lanakila elementary school, Oahu

         Construction for the installation of a gate at the corner of Alaneo street and Kuakini street; building of a walkway from the sidewalk to the parking lot across the stop sign outside the cafeteria; and painting of a cross walk from the bottom of the walkway to the cafeteria entrance.

     C.  Lanakila elementary school, Oahu

         Plans, design, construction, and equipment for the provision of effective drainage between building C and D and the basketball courts.

         Plans, design, construction, and equipment for the renovation and expansion of basketball courts including the addition of a covered shelter and security.

     E.  Maemae elementary school, Oahu

         Plans, design, and construction for the installation of field turf in the courtyard area.

     2.  To be expended by the city and county of Honolulu:

     A.  Road improvements in house district twenty-seven, Oahu Plans, design, construction, and equipment for road improvements to Ihe street, Kealakai street, Laki road, Pala street, and Panui street.

     SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated agency for the purpose of this Act.

     SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2015.
