Summary

The purpose of this bill is to prohibit lobbyists and members of their immediate family from contributing funds, either directly or indirectly, to individuals running for election to either the executive or legislative branches of state government. This bill was recommended for introduction by the Joint Committee on the Judiciary that met during the 2015-2016 Interim session. This bill was recommended for introduction by the following House members of the Joint Interim Committee on the Judiciary: Delegates Shott, Azinger, Byrd, Deem, Fleischauer, Folk, Foster, Hanshaw, Hicks, lreland, Kessinger, Lane, McCuskey, Moore, Overington, Rowe, Skinner, Summers, Weld and B. White.
