Summary

Secretary of Health and Human Resources; task force to study requirements for criminal history background checks for child-care providers; report. Directs the Secretary of Health and Human Resources to convene a task force composed of child-care providers and other stakeholders to review requirements for certain categories of child-care providers, including those exempt from licensure pursuant to §63.2-1715, and to develop recommendations to promote the health, safety, and development of children in child-care settings. The task force shall submit a report on its activities, findings, and conclusions to the Governor and the Chairmen of the House Committee on Health, Welfare and Institutions and the Senate Committee on Rehabilitation and Social Services by November 1, 2016.
