WHEREAS, Deisy Martinez is graduating from Pasadena Early | ||
College High School on June 4, 2015; and | ||
WHEREAS, In undertaking the rigorous PECHS curriculum, | ||
Ms. Martinez has completed an accelerated course of study in which | ||
she has earned both a high school diploma and an associate's degree | ||
from San Jacinto Community College; and | ||
WHEREAS, Outside of the classroom, Ms. Martinez has been | ||
active in JROTC and attained the rank of battalion commander of her | ||
unit; her plans for the future include serving her country in the | ||
U.S. Marine Corps and furthering her education; and | ||
WHEREAS, During her years at PECHS, this accomplished young | ||
Texan has distinguished herself through her skill and | ||
determination, and the knowledge and confidence she has acquired | ||
along the way will serve her well in the years to come; now, | ||
therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Deisy Martinez on her graduation | ||
from Pasadena Early College High School as a member of the Class of | ||
2015 and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be | ||
it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Ms. Martinez as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. |
