WHEREAS, Unique, locally owned businesses add to the richness | ||
and prosperity of Texas communities, and on July 8, 2013, one such | ||
enterprise, La Casa del Puro cigar lounge, is celebrating its | ||
second anniversary in El Paso; and | ||
WHEREAS, Founded by Pastor Crespo, Jr., in 2011, La Casa del | ||
Puro features a humidor stocked with fine cigars from around the | ||
world; its elegant wood-and-leather decor and its many amenities, | ||
such as a professional game room, several televisions, a library, | ||
and a bar, provide cigar aficionados with a comfortable and | ||
collegial environment in which to enjoy their pastime; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. Crespo served his nation in the U.S. Army's | ||
warrant officer corps for 20 years, and for 11 of those years he | ||
worked abroad at a succession of U.S. embassies as a member of the | ||
Defense Attache System; after retiring from the military, this | ||
accomplished gentleman settled in El Paso with his family; and | ||
WHEREAS, Situated in the heart of the city's museum district, | ||
La Casa del Puro contributes greatly to the economic revival and | ||
cultural diversity of El Paso's downtown and serves as a testament | ||
to Mr. Crespo's creativity and entrepreneurial spirit; now, | ||
therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Pastor | ||
Crespo, Jr., on the success of La Casa del Puro and extend to him and | ||
his staff sincere best wishes for continued good fortune; and, be it | ||
further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for La Casa del Puro as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. |
