R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Carlos Marquez, Sr., of El Paso, who died on December 7, 2009, at
  the age of 69; and
         WHEREAS, Carlos Marquez worked hard throughout his life as a
  sanitation worker and a school janitor; after losing his first
  wife, Margie, in an automobile accident, he was fortunate enough to
  find love again with Olga Elena; the couple went on to share a
  fulfilling marriage that spanned 35 years until his death; Mr.
  Marquez was the father of eight children, Carlos, Israel, Irene,
  Margie, Yessika, Crystal, Claudia, and Cesar; and
         WHEREAS, Known for his sense of humor and his happy-go-lucky
  attitude, Carlos Marquez is deeply missed, but memories of time
  spent in his company remain to comfort all those who knew and loved
  him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Carlos Marquez, Sr.,
  and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Olga Elena Marquez; to his sons, Carlos Marquez, Jr., and his
  wife, Amy, and Israel Marquez and his wife, Betty; to his daughters,
  Irene Ruiz Raygoza, Margarita Marquez, Yessika Zarazua and her
  husband, Victor, Crystal Marquez, and Claudia Aguilera; to his
  brothers, Antonio and Ricardo; to his sister, Juanita; and to his
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Carlos
  Marquez, Sr.
