R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Martha
  Wade Crone of Tyler, who passed away on April 3, 2011, at the age of
  79; and
         WHEREAS, Born on October 28, 1931, in Tyler to Euris Jackson
  Wade and Lessie Ann Campbell Wade, Martha Wade graduated from Tyler
  High School in 1949 and continued her studies at Tyler Junior
  College; she subsequently went on to enjoy a notable career with the
  Texas Department of Public Safety that spanned more than a
  quarter-century; and
         WHEREAS, This beloved woman married Bobby Crone, with whom
  she shared a rewarding marriage of 60 years, and she took great
  pride in their family, which includes three children, Michael,
  Eddie, and Marilyn, as well as five grandchildren and three
  great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Crone was an active member of Pollard United
  Methodist Church, and she also belonged to the Rose Garden Chapter
  of the American Business Women's Association, serving the group as
  president and being named its 1989 Woman of the Year and the
  recipient of its Ambassador Award; and
         WHEREAS, Martha Crone was truly a blessing in the lives of
  countless people, and she will be deeply missed by all those who
  were fortunate enough to know her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Martha Wade Crone
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
  husband, Bobby D. Crone; to her children, Michael Crone and his
  wife, Tia, Eddie Crone and his wife, Linda, and Marilyn Crone; to
  her grandchildren, Rachel and Mandi Keough and Kristin, Taylor, and
  Jordan Crone; to her three great-grandchildren; to her
  sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Alfred, Alice Crone, and Patsy Fetter;
  to her brother-in-law, Harold Ray Crone, and his wife, Pat; and to
  her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Martha Wade
  Crone.
