R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Martha |
|
Wade Crone of Tyler, who passed away on April 3, 2011, at the age of |
|
79; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on October 28, 1931, in Tyler to Euris Jackson |
|
Wade and Lessie Ann Campbell Wade, Martha Wade graduated from Tyler |
|
High School in 1949 and continued her studies at Tyler Junior |
|
College; she subsequently went on to enjoy a notable career with the |
|
Texas Department of Public Safety that spanned more than a |
|
quarter-century; and |
|
WHEREAS, This beloved woman married Bobby Crone, with whom |
|
she shared a rewarding marriage of 60 years, and she took great |
|
pride in their family, which includes three children, Michael, |
|
Eddie, and Marilyn, as well as five grandchildren and three |
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Crone was an active member of Pollard United |
|
Methodist Church, and she also belonged to the Rose Garden Chapter |
|
of the American Business Women's Association, serving the group as |
|
president and being named its 1989 Woman of the Year and the |
|
recipient of its Ambassador Award; and |
|
WHEREAS, Martha Crone was truly a blessing in the lives of |
|
countless people, and she will be deeply missed by all those who |
|
were fortunate enough to know her; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Martha Wade Crone |
|
and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
husband, Bobby D. Crone; to her children, Michael Crone and his |
|
wife, Tia, Eddie Crone and his wife, Linda, and Marilyn Crone; to |
|
her grandchildren, Rachel and Mandi Keough and Kristin, Taylor, and |
|
Jordan Crone; to her three great-grandchildren; to her |
|
sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Alfred, Alice Crone, and Patsy Fetter; |
|
to her brother-in-law, Harold Ray Crone, and his wife, Pat; and to |
|
her other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Martha Wade |
|
Crone. |
