WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Martha | ||
Wade Crone of Tyler, who passed away on April 3, 2011, at the age of | ||
79; and | ||
WHEREAS, Born on October 28, 1931, in Tyler to Euris Jackson | ||
Wade and Lessie Ann Campbell Wade, Martha Wade graduated from Tyler | ||
High School in 1949 and continued her studies at Tyler Junior | ||
College; she subsequently went on to enjoy a notable career with the | ||
Texas Department of Public Safety that spanned more than a | ||
quarter-century; and | ||
WHEREAS, This beloved woman married Bobby Crone, with whom | ||
she shared a rewarding marriage of 60 years, and she took great | ||
pride in their family, which includes three children, Michael, | ||
Eddie, and Marilyn, as well as five grandchildren and three | ||
great-grandchildren; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mrs. Crone was an active member of Pollard United | ||
Methodist Church, and she also belonged to the Rose Garden Chapter | ||
of the American Business Women's Association, serving the group as | ||
president and being named its 1989 Woman of the Year and the | ||
recipient of its Ambassador Award; and | ||
WHEREAS, Martha Crone was truly a blessing in the lives of | ||
countless people, and she will be deeply missed by all those who | ||
were fortunate enough to know her; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Martha Wade Crone | ||
and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her | ||
husband, Bobby D. Crone; to her children, Michael Crone and his | ||
wife, Tia, Eddie Crone and his wife, Linda, and Marilyn Crone; to | ||
her grandchildren, Rachel and Mandi Keough and Kristin, Taylor, and | ||
Jordan Crone; to her three great-grandchildren; to her | ||
sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Alfred, Alice Crone, and Patsy Fetter; | ||
to her brother-in-law, Harold Ray Crone, and his wife, Pat; and to | ||
her other relatives and friends; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of | ||
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Martha Wade | ||
Crone. |
