         printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation -- reported
         favorably from said committee, ordered to  first  and  second  report,
         ordered  to  a  third  reading,  passed by Senate and delivered to the
         Assembly, recalled, vote  reconsidered,  restored  to  third  reading,
         amended  and  ordered  reprinted,  retaining its place in the order of
         third reading
       AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to expanding  that  portion
         of the state highway system designated as the "Wyoming County Veterans
         Memorial Highway"
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 342-xxx of the highway law, as added by chapter  95
    2  of the laws of 2012, is amended to read as follows:
    3    S 342-xxx. Portion of THE state highway system to be designated as the
    4  "Wyoming  County Veterans Memorial Highway".  [That] ALL THAT portion of
    5  THE state HIGHWAY SYSTEM KNOWN AS UNITED STATES route 20A [located with-
    6  in the boundaries of the county of  Wyoming  from  the  intersection  of
    7  state  route  98  to  the intersection of state route 246, a distance of
    8  approximately sixteen and one-tenth  miles]  BEGINNING  AT  THE  WESTERN
    9  COUNTY  LINE  OF  THE COUNTY OF WYOMING AND ENDING AT THE EASTERN COUNTY
   10  LINE OF THE COUNTY OF WYOMING, shall be  designated  and  known  as  the
   11  "Wyoming County Veterans Memorial Highway".
   12    S  2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
   13  lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state  highway  system
   14  as  designated  pursuant  to  section one of this act; provided that, to
   15  avoid any confusion and to limit any possible  disruption  of  commerce,
   16  the  designation called for pursuant to section one of this act shall be
   17  one of ceremonial nature and the official name of such highway shall not
   18  be changed as a result of this act.
   19    S 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
