        Introduced  by  Sen. BRESLIN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation --  commit-
          tee  discharged  and  said bill committed to the Committee on Rules --
          ordered to a third reading, amended and ordered  reprinted,  retaining
          its place in the order of third reading

        AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating a portion of
          the  Mohawk-Hudson  Bike-Hike  Trail as the "Ronald H. Miller Memorial
          Bike Trail"

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  The highway law is amended by adding a new section 332 to
     2  read as follows:
     3    § 332. Portion of the Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail to  be  designated
     4  as  the  "Ronald H. Miller Memorial Bike Trail". All that portion of the
     5  Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail in the village of Menands,  commencing  at
     6  the  city  of  Watervliet  border,  continuing  in a generally southerly
     7  direction and terminating at the city of Albany border, shall be  desig-
     8  nated and known as the "Ronald H. Miller Memorial Bike Trail".
     9    §  2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
    10  lation and maintenance of adequate signing of  the  Mohawk-Hudson  Bike-
    11  Hike  Trail  as designated pursuant to section one of this act. However,
    12  to avoid confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce, the
    13  designation called for pursuant to section one of this act shall be  one
    14  of ceremonial nature and the official name of such bike-hike trail shall
    15  not be changed as a result of this act.
    16    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
