        Introduced  by  Sen. BRESLIN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation

        AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating a portion of
          the Mohawk-Hudson Bike Hike Trail as the "Ronald  H.  Miller  Memorial
          Bike Trail"

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 344-m to
     2  read as follows:
     3    § 344-m. Portion of the state highway system to be designated  as  the
     4  "Ronald  H.  Miller  Memorial Bike Trail". All that portion of the state
     5  highway system constituting the Mohawk-Hudson Bike  Hike  Trail  in  the
     6  village  of  Menands, from the border with the city of Watervliet to the
     7  border of the city of Albany shall be designated and  be  known  as  the
     8  "Ronald H. Miller Memorial Bike Trail".
     9    §  2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
    10  lation and maintenance of adequate signing  of  the  Mohawk-Hudson  Bike
    11  Hike  Trail  as designated pursuant to section one of this act. However,
    12  to avoid confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce, the
    13  designation called for pursuant to section one of this act shall be  one
    14  of  ceremonial nature and the official name of such bike trail shall not
    15  be changed as a result of this act.
    16    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
