        AN ACT authorizing the villages of East Hampton and Sag Harbor to reduce
          the maximum speed limit  along  certain  designated  streets  in  such
          villages to not less than 20 miles per hour
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any general, special or local law  or  code
     2  to  the  contrary,  the  village board of the village of East Hampton in
     3  Suffolk county, subject to the limitations imposed by sections 1624  and
     4  1684 of the vehicle and traffic law, may by local law, ordinance, order,
     5  rule or regulation establish maximum speed limits at not less than twen-
     6  ty  miles  per  hour on any portion of the following streets within such
     7  village: King Street, McGuirk Street, Middle Lane, Mill  Hill  Lane  and
     8  Meadow Way.
     9    §  2. Notwithstanding any general, special or local law or code to the
    10  contrary, the village board of the village  of  Sag  Harbor  in  Suffolk

                              [ ] is old law to be omitted.

     1  county,  subject to the limitations imposed by sections 1624 and 1684 of

     5  Main Street, Bay Street, Madison Street, and Jermain Avenue.
