PARKER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Housing, Construction and Community Development AN ACT to authorize the commissioner of the division of housing and community renewal to prescribe certain forms in different languages THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. The commissioner of the division of housing and community 2 renewal is authorized to prescribe for legal forms and applications to 3 be translated into Spanish and any other languages as such commissioner 4 deems appropriate, as long as such language is spoken by at least one 5 percent of the population. Such commissioner shall further cause such 6 translated forms and applications to be prepared, printed and dissem- 7 inated. 8 S 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall 9 have become a law; provided, however, that effective immediately, the 10 commissioner of the division of housing and community renewal shall make 11 and complete the addition, amendment and/or repeal of any rule or regu- 12 lation necessary for the implementation of this act on or before such 13 effective date.
