          when printed to be committed to the Committee on Corporations, Author-
          ities and Commissions

        AN  ACT to amend chapter 802 of the laws of 1947, relating to facilitat-
          ing the financing and effectuation of air terminals by the Port of New
          York Authority, in relation to prohibiting certain flights at  LaGuar-
          dia airport

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Chapter 802 of the laws of 1947, relating  to  facilitating
     2  the  financing and effectuation of air terminals by the Port of New York
     3  Authority, is amended by adding a new section 4-c to read as follows:
     4    § 4-c. The port  authority  shall,  by  regulation,  prohibit  nonstop
     5  flights to or from points beyond one thousand five hundred miles, except
     6  on  Saturdays  and  flights  to Denver, Colorado, from flying to or from
     7  LaGuardia airport, an air terminal of the Port Authority of New York and
     8  New Jersey.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect upon the enactment  into  law  by  the
    10  state  of New Jersey of legislation having an identical effect with this
    11  act, but if the state of New Jersey  shall  have  already  enacted  such
    12  legislation,  this  act shall take effect immediately; provided that the
    13  chairman of the port authority of New Jersey shall notify  the  legisla-
    14  tive  bill  drafting  commission upon the occurrence of the enactment of
    15  the legislation provided for in section one of this act  in  order  that
    16  the commission may maintain an accurate and timely effective database of
    17  the official text of the laws of the state of New York in furtherance of
    18  effectuating  the  provisions  of  section 44 of the legislative law and
    19  section 70-b of the public officers law.
