STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 1129--A 2017-2018 Regular Sessions IN SENATE January 6, 2017 ___________ Introduced by Sen. AKSHAR -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to hunt- ing in the county of Broome west of the Susquehanna river; and provid- ing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of the 2 environmental conservation law is amended by adding a new item (n) to 3 read as follows: 4 (n) The county of Deer, the first Pistol, shotgun, 5 Broome west of the Saturday after November crossbow, muzzle 6 Susquehanna river 15 through first Sunday loading firearm, 7 except within the after December 7 rifle or long bow 8 city of Binghamton 9 § 2. Item (f) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of 10 the environmental conservation law, as amended by chapter 68 of the laws 11 of 2015, is amended to read as follows: 12 (f) Southern tier, Deer, first Pistol, shotgun, 13 central and Western Monday after November crossbow, 14 region, except those 15 through first muzzle loading 15 counties or portions Tuesday after firearm or 16 thereof listed in December 7 long bow only 17 item (i), (j), (k), 18 (l) [or], (m) or (n) 19 of this paragraph EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted. Paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of the environ- 2 mental conservation law is amended by adding a new item (l) to read as 3 follows: 4 (l) The county of Deer and bear, the Pistol, shotgun, 5 Broome west of the first Saturday after crossbow, muzzle 6 Susquehanna river November 15 through loading firearm, 7 except within the first Sunday after rifle or long 8 city of Binghamton December 7 bow only 9 § 4. Item (f) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of 10 the environmental conservation law, as amended by chapter 199 of the 11 laws of 2016, is amended to read as follows: 12 (f) Southern tier, Deer and bear, first Pistol, shotgun, 13 central and Western Monday after November crossbow, muzzle 14 region, except those 15 through first loading firearm 15 counties or portions Tuesday after or long bow only 16 thereof listed in December 7 17 item (i), (j), (j) [or], 18 (k) or (l) of this 19 paragraph 20 § 5. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that: 21 a. the amendments to paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 22 of the environmental conservation law made by section one of this act 23 shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such paragraph 24 pursuant to section 13 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993, as amended; 25 b. the amendments to item (f) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of 26 section 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law made by section 27 two of this act shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such 28 paragraph pursuant to section 13 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993, as 29 amended; provided further, that the amendments made to such item (f) by 30 section two of this act shall survive the expiration as provided in 31 subdivision c of section 3 of chapter 68 of the laws of 2015; 32 c. sections three and four of this act shall take effect upon the 33 expiration and reversion of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 34 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law, as provided in section 13 35 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993, as amended; and 36 d. nothing contained in this act shall be construed so as to extend 37 the provisions of this act beyond October 1, 2019, when upon such date 38 this act shall expire and the provisions contained herein shall be 39 deemed repealed.
