STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 1129 2017-2018 Regular Sessions IN SENATE January 6, 2017 ___________ Introduced by Sen. AKSHAR -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to hunt- ing in the county of Broome The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 2 of the environmental conservation law, as amended by chapter 73 of the 3 laws of 2015, is amended to read as follows: 4 (i) The counties of Deer, the first Monday Pistol, shotgun, 5 Allegany, Cattaraugus, after November 15 crossbow, 6 Cayuga, Chautauqua through first Tuesday muzzle loading 7 except that portion after December 7 firearm, rifle or 8 of the county north long bow only 9 of route 20, Chemung, 10 Chenango, Herkimer, 11 Madison, 12 Montgomery, Oneida, 13 Oswego, Otsego, 14 Schoharie, Schuyler, 15 Steuben, Tioga, 16 Wyoming, Seneca 17 and Yates 18 and [that portion of] 19 the county of 20 Broome [east of the21Susquehanna river] 22 except within the 23 city of Binghamton EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted. Item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of 2 the environmental conservation law, as amended by section 14 of part EE 3 of chapter 55 of the laws of 2014, is amended to read as follows: 4 (i) The counties of Deer, the first Monday Pistol, shotgun, 5 Allegany, Cattaraugus, after November 15 crossbow, 6 Cayuga, Chautauqua through first Tuesday muzzle loading 7 except that portion after December 7 firearm, rifle or 8 of the county north long bow only 9 of route 20, Chemung, 10 Chenango, Herkimer, 11 Madison, 12 Montgomery, Oneida, 13 Oswego, Otsego, 14 Schoharie, Schuyler, 15 Steuben, Tioga, 16 Wyoming and Yates 17 and [that portion of] 18 the county of 19 Broome [east of the20Susquehanna river] 21 except within the 22 city of Binghamton 23 § 3. Item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of 24 the environmental conservation law, as amended by section 15 of part EE 25 of chapter 55 of the laws of 2014, is amended to read as follows: 26 (i) The counties of Deer and bear, the Pistol, shotgun, 27 Allegany, Cattaraugus, first Monday after crossbow, 28 Chautauqua except November 15 through muzzle loading 29 that portion of the first Tuesday after firearm, rifle or 30 county north of route December 7 long bow only 31 20, Chenango, 32 Herkimer, Montgomery, 33 Oneida, Oswego, 34 Otsego, Schoharie, 35 Tioga and Wyoming 36 and [that portion37of] the county 38 of Broome [east of the39Susquehanna river] 40 except within the 41 city of Binghamton 42 § 4. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that: 43 a. the amendments to item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of 44 section 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law made by section 45 one of this act shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such 46 item pursuant to section 2 of chapter 73 of the laws of 2015, as 47 amended, when upon such date section two of this act shall take effect; 48 and 49 b. the amendments to item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of 50 section 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law made by section 51 two of this act shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such 52 paragraph pursuant to section 13 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993, as 53 amended, when upon such date section three of this act shall take 54 effect.
