STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 7722 2023-2024 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY June 6, 2023 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. ZACCARO -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Economic Development AN ACT to amend the cannabis law, in relation to notice to elected offi- cials upon receipt of certain applications The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 61 of the cannabis law is amended by adding a new 2 subdivision 4 to read as follows: 3 4. The board shall, within thirty days of the receipt of a completed 4 application for an adult-use retail dispensary license or an adult-use 5 on-site consumption license, provide written notice to the members of 6 the state assembly and senate who represent the district in which the 7 premises of the proposed dispensary or on-site consumption establishment 8 is located, that the application was received by the board. 9 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided that the canna- 10 bis control board shall provide the notice required by subdivision 4 of 11 section 61 of the cannabis law as added by section one of this act for 12 any completed application which is pending as of the effective date of 13 this act.
