       AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to boards of  cooperative
         educational services
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 1950 of the education law is amended  by  adding  a
    2  new subdivision 8-d to read as follows:
    3    8-D.  NOTWITHSTANDING  ANY  OTHER PROVISIONS OF LAW TO THE CONTRARY, A
    4  SCHOOL DISTRICT IN A CITY HAVING A POPULATION IN EXCESS OF  ONE  HUNDRED
    5  NINETY  THOUSAND INHABITANTS BUT LESS THAN TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND INHABIT-
    6  ANTS AND  WHICH  CONTRACTS  WITH  A  BOARD  OF  COOPERATIVE  EDUCATIONAL
    7  SERVICES  OF THE SUPERVISORY DISTRICTS SERVING ITS GEOGRAPHICAL AREA FOR
    8  PROGRAMS AND SERVICES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR PAYMENT OF  ADMINISTRATIVE
    9  EXPENSES  AS  PROVIDED  FOR  IN  PARAGRAPH B OF SUBDIVISION FOUR OF THIS
   10  SECTION OR ANY OTHER SECTION OF LAW REGARDING THE CONTRACTUAL  PROVISION
   11  OF SUCH PROGRAMS AND SERVICES.
   12    S 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2015.
