       AN ACT to amend the executive law, in  relation  to  the  collection  of
         supervision fees from parolees
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Subdivision 9 of section 259-a  of  the  executive  law  is
    2  amended by adding a new paragraph (f) to read as follows:
    3    (F) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER LAW, RULE OR REGULATION TO THE CONTRARY,
    4  THE  SUPERVISION  FEE  AUTHORIZED  BY  THIS  SUBDIVISION  SHALL  NOT  BE
    5  COLLECTED BY THE PAROLE OFFICER OF A  PERSON  ON  PAROLE.  THE  DIVISION
    6  SHALL  DESIGNATE  A  CENTRAL  LOCATION  AND  ADDRESS FOR PAYMENT OF SUCH
    7  SUPERVISION FEE BY PERSONS ON PAROLE.
    8    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately, provided,  however,  that
    9  the  amendments  to  subdivision 9 of section 259-a of the executive law
   10  made by section one of this act shall not affect the expiration of  such
   11  subdivision and shall be deemed to expire therewith.
