A SENATE RESOLUTION relating to the appointment, nomination, and confirmation of Rebecca wyhof Salmon to the north carolina oil and gas commission.

Whereas, pursuant to G.S. 143B‑293.2, appointments by the Governor to the North Carolina Oil and Gas Commission are subject to senatorial advice and consent in conformance with Section 5(8) of Article III of the North Carolina Constitution; and

Whereas, the Governor has nominated Rebecca Wyhof Salmon to serve on the North Carolina Oil and Gas Commission, as a commissioner who is an elected official of a municipal government located in a region of North Carolina that has oil and gas potential, pending further action by the Senate; Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

SECTION 1.  The appointment of Rebecca Wyhof Salmon of Lee County to the North Carolina Oil and Gas Commission for a term expiring on December 31, 2020, is confirmed.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon adoption.
