Senate Bill 2328

AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 65-3-71.94, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN SEGMENT OF INTERSTATE 59 IN PEARL RIVER COUNTY AS THE "DEPUTY LEN J. ROWELL MEMORIAL HIGHWAY"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Section 65-3-71.94, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

     65-3-71.94.  (1)  The * * *overpass located at exit 35 on  southbound lane of Interstate 59 in Pearl River County near mile marker 35 is designated and shall be known as the "Deputy Len J. Rowell Memorial * * *Bridge Highway."

     (2)  The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the * * *overpass segment of the highway described in subsection (1).

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
