Summary

An Act To Amend Section 33-15-5, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Define The Terms "governor's Authorized Representative" And "advertising" For The Purposes Of The Mississippi Emergency Management Law; To Amend Section 33-15-14, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency To Expend Federal Funds Allocated For Public Education And Outreach As Well As State Disaster Funding In Order To Develop A Comprehensive And Coordinated Approach For Preparedness And Mitigation Public Awareness Within The State, As Well As Dissemination Of Disaster And Emergency Information Through Multimedia Public Education, Awareness And Advertising Efforts; To Provide That The Agency Shall Serve As The Coordinating Agency For All 911, E-911 And/or Ng911 Capabilities Of The State; To Provide That The Agency Shall Prepare A Plan With Proposed State Funding Priorities For Mississippi's Remote Sensing And Geographic Information System Activities; And For Related Purposes.
