AN ACT

To repeal section 376.823, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to health insurance rebates for patients with chronic illnesses.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Section 376.823, RSMo, is repealed and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 376.823, to read as follows:

            376.823. Section 191.905 shall not apply to programs established by pharmaceutical companies for the purposes of providing a partial rebate of private health insurance co-payments and coinsurance to patients with multiple sclerosis, cancer, or other chronic, potentially disabling, or life-threatening conditions who have been prescribed disease-managing medicines for which there are no generic equivalents.
