1 AN ACT concerning revenue.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by adding
5Section 10-36 as follows:
6 (35 ILCS 200/10-36 new)
7 Sec. 10-36. Common interest community associations. Upon
8authorization by a two-thirds vote of the members of the board
9of managers or by the affirmative vote of not less than a
10majority of unit owners at a meeting duly called for such
11purpose, or upon such greater vote as may be required by the
12declaration or by-laws, the board of managers acting on behalf
13of all owners in a common interest community association, as
14defined in the Common Interest Community Association Act, shall
15have the power to seek relief from or in connection with the
16assessment of any taxes, special assessments, or charges levied
17or imposed under this Code and to charge and collect all
18expenses incurred in connection therewith as common expenses.
