RESOLUTION
Honoring
the life and memory of Mrs. Jeanne Sims Brumlow; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens
with the passing of Mrs. Jeanne Sims Brumlow on April 18, 2010; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Brumlow was born on December 15, 1937, in Villa Rica, Georgia, the beloved
eldest daughter of Horace R. Sims and Carolyn C. Sims; and
WHEREAS,
she earned a bachelor's degree from Georgia State University, diligently taking
courses while working at AT&T; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Brumlow was united in love and marriage to William C. "Bill" Brumlow on May
17, 1958, and was blessed with two remarkable sons, William Christopher Brumlow,
Jr., and Kevin Sims Brumlow; and
WHEREAS,
she was the proud grandmother of three, Eric Brumlow, Avery Brumlow, and the
late Sara Ann Brumlow, and was a kind and supportive aunt to 13 nieces and
nephews; and
WHEREAS,
an avid golfer, Mrs. Brumlow loved animals and protected them just as she did
her family and friends; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Brumlow was active in numerous civic organizations, including the College
Park Women's Club, the Ladies of Lakeside, and the North Fayette Community
Association; and
WHEREAS,
she gave inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern
for her fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding she
demonstrated to her family and friends were admired by others;
and
WHEREAS, she was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness and, by the example she made of her life, she made this world a better place in which to live; and

WHEREAS,
a compassionate and generous woman, Mrs. Brumlow will long be remembered for her
love of family and friendship, and this loyal wife, mother, grandmother, aunt,
and friend will be missed by all who had the great fortune of knowing
her.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in honoring the life and memory of Mrs. Jeanne Sims Brumlow and
express their deepest and most sincere regret at her passing.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of
Mrs. Jeanne Sims Brumlow.
