AN ACT CONCERNING THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE VOTE ATTRIBUTED TO THE STATE'S SECOND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the elector of President and Vice President of the United States corresponding to the representative in Congress to which the state's second congressional district is entitled shall cast such elector's ballot for the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates receiving the highest total of votes in said congressional district, notwithstanding the result of the votes for such candidates state-wide.

Statement of Purpose:

To award the electoral college vote for the state's second congressional district to the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates who win the popular vote in said congressional district.
