AN ACT CONCERNING AN ADOPTED PERSON'S ABILITY TO OBTAIN AN UNCERTIFIED COPY OF HIS OR HER ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 45a-751c of the general statutes be amended to eliminate the conditions that must be met in order for an adopted person to obtain an uncertified copy of his or her original birth certificate.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure equal treatment under the law for an adopted person with respect to such person's ability to obtain an uncertified copy of his or her original birth certificate.
