AN ACT CONCERNING PEDIATRIC VISION SCREENING.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to require health care providers to provide children with vision screenings beginning at a young age and, if any abnormality is found during the vision screening, to refer the child to an optometrist or optician.

Statement of Purpose:

To require vision screenings for young children.
