AN ACT REQUIRING INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH UNIFORM FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to require every institution of higher education in this state to provide its students with financial aid information using the financial aid shopping sheet developed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Statement of Purpose:

To require institutions of higher education to provide financial aid information in a uniform way to ensure that students understand their true higher education costs.
