AN ACT CREATING A CIVILIAN MEDAL OF HONOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to create a civilian medal of honor that shall be awarded to Connecticut citizens who perform extraordinary acts of heroism, and that recipients of said medal shall be selected by a panel consisting of the Commissioner of Veterans' Affairs, who shall accept nominations for the award, and members of the General Assembly.
Statement of Purpose:
To honor Connecticut citizens who perform extraordinary acts of heroism.
