A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §18-5-27, relating to requiring automated external defibrillators in public schools.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §18-5-27, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 5. COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION.
§18-5-27. Automated external defibrillators required.
All county boards of education shall provide automated external defibrillators at each school.
One school employee at each school shall be trained in the use of automated external defibrillators and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require automated external defibrillators in public schools.
