Summary

The purpose of this bill is to prohibit public officials and employees from using public funds for self promotion. The bill prohibits knowingly and intentionally placing the names or likenesses of public officials and employees on trinkets. The bill prohibits knowingly and intentionally placing the names or likenesses of public officials and employees on certain publically-financed advertising during an election period. The bill makes these prohibitions violations of the West Virginia Governmental Ethics Act. The bill also defines terms.
