The purpose of this bill is to provide procedures that will prevent the disqualification of low bids for government construction contracts due to documentation technicalities. The bill deals with the submission of bids and the information and documents required for the awarding of certain contracts. It provides procedures for the required submission of a list of subcontractors who will perform more than $25,000 of work on certain projects. The bill provides procedures for the required submission of a Drug Free Workplace Affidavit for any solicitation for a public improvement contract. And, the bill provides procedures for the required submission of a contractor’s license number with certain bid documents.
