Summary
The purpose of this bill is to revise the statute to make it permissive for commercial motor vehicles registered in this state to pass an annual inspection of all safety equipment to be consistent with the federal motor carrier safety regulations and adding a definition for the term "Commercial motor vehicle." This bill was recommended for passage by the West Virginia Department of Homeland Security and the West Virginia State Police during the 2024 regular session of the West Virginia Legislature.
