Summary

The purpose of this bill is to provide adequate protections and safeguards for West Virginia consumers by requiring the registration and regulation of health insurance exchange navigators and nonnavigator assisters operating in accordance with the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Through the certification of qualified individuals, the state seeks to prevent breaches of consumer privacy and help protect personally identifiable information.
