Senator Barrett moved to amend the bill on page 4, section 1a, lines 80 through 83 by striking subsection(b) in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof a new subsection (b) to read as follows:

"(b) In all misdemeanors bail may not exceed three times the maximum fine provided for the offense. If the person is charged with more than one misdemeanor, bail may not exceed three times the combined total maximum fine for the offenses."
