Commending Kristin Harter.

WHEREAS, Kristin Harter is the 2011 Virginia High School League Group AA state champion in girls' tennis, the second time she has claimed that title; and

WHEREAS, Kristin Harter, together with her Hidden Valley High School teammate Emily Seibert, also won the Virginia High School League state doubles championship for Group AA girls' tennis for 2011; and

WHEREAS, in the singles match, Kristin Harter of Roanoke County triumphed in straight sets (6 - 3, 6 - 4), and in doubles competition, Kristin Harter and Emily Seibert also achieved a straight-set victory (6 - 1, 6 - 3); and

WHEREAS, other recognitions bestowed on Kristin Harter for 2010 - 2011 include being named All Timesland Player of the Year and River Ridge All District Girls' Tennis Player of the Year; and

WHEREAS, championship competition has been a part of Kristin Harter's life throughout her high school career, as she has played for the Group AA singles title every year and first won the state championship trophy as a sophomore in 2009; and

WHEREAS, Kristin Harter's success on the tennis court was a major contributor to Hidden Valley High School girls' tennis team winning the Group AA state championship in 2011; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Kristin Harter on her second state championship title in Virginia High School League Group AA girls' tennis; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Kristin Harter as an expression of the General Assembly's congratulations on her exceptional athletic achievements.
