Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 10.1-202.4 as follows:
§10.1-202.4. First Responder and Veteran Passport established; discounted parking and entry into state parks.
The Department shall establish a First Responder and Veteran Passport (the Passport) that entitles the bearer to receive a 50 percent discount on parking and admission fees at state parks in the Commonwealth. The Passport shall be issued upon request to a first responder with a letter or other documentation from the agency employing such first responder or to a veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States with a letter or other documentation from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or from the military service that discharged the veteran.
