A BILL to require the Office of the State Inspector General to review and report on the use of seclusion and restraint in the public and private elementary and secondary schools of the Commonwealth.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. §1. The Office of the State Inspector General (Office) shall review (i) the use of seclusion and restraint in public and private elementary and secondary schools and (ii) methods used in other states to reduce and eliminate the use of seclusion and restraint in public and private elementary and secondary schools. The Office shall report its findings to the General Assembly no later than the first day of the 2015 Regular Session of the General Assembly.
