Summary

Workers' compensation; modifications to employee's home and automobile. Authorizes the Workers' Compensation Commission, in awards entered for incapacity for work, to require the employer to furnish and maintain modifications to or equipment for the injured employee's automobile. Such awards may be made upon the determination by the treating physician and the Commission that they are medically necessary. Such an award may be in addition to currently authorized awards for bedside lifts, adjustable beds, and home modifications. The measure also increases the maximum aggregate cost of all such items and modifications on account of any one accident from $25,000 to $42,000.
