R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Donna Mills is retiring as the Precinct 2
  commissioner for the Live Oak County Commissioners Court at the end
  of her current term, drawing to a close an exemplary tenure that has
  spanned nearly a decade and a half; and
         WHEREAS, First elected as the Live Oak County Precinct 2
  commissioner in November 2006, Donna Mills took office on January
  1, 2007; among her many achievements, she has taken special pride in
  the assistance that the county provides to seniors and to residents
  in need; and
         WHEREAS, In holding a county commissioner's seat, Ms. Mills
  has followed the example set by her parents, Hilbert and Barbara
  Jean Kopplin, who also served on the court and who instilled in
  their daughter the importance of public service; and
         WHEREAS, The dedication, professionalism, and commitment to
  excellence that Donna Mills has demonstrated have greatly benefited
  the residents of Live Oak County, and her contributions will
  continue to resonate in the community in the years to come; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Donna Mills on
  her retirement as the Precinct 2 commissioner for the Live Oak
  County Commissioners Court and extend to her sincere best wishes
  for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Mills as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
