WHEREAS, Donna Mills is retiring as the Precinct 2 | ||
commissioner for the Live Oak County Commissioners Court at the end | ||
of her current term, drawing to a close an exemplary tenure that has | ||
spanned nearly a decade and a half; and | ||
WHEREAS, First elected as the Live Oak County Precinct 2 | ||
commissioner in November 2006, Donna Mills took office on January | ||
1, 2007; among her many achievements, she has taken special pride in | ||
the assistance that the county provides to seniors and to residents | ||
in need; and | ||
WHEREAS, In holding a county commissioner's seat, Ms. Mills | ||
has followed the example set by her parents, Hilbert and Barbara | ||
Jean Kopplin, who also served on the court and who instilled in | ||
their daughter the importance of public service; and | ||
WHEREAS, The dedication, professionalism, and commitment to | ||
excellence that Donna Mills has demonstrated have greatly benefited | ||
the residents of Live Oak County, and her contributions will | ||
continue to resonate in the community in the years to come; now, | ||
therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Donna Mills on | ||
her retirement as the Precinct 2 commissioner for the Live Oak | ||
County Commissioners Court and extend to her sincere best wishes | ||
for the future; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Ms. Mills as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. | ||
