| WHEREAS, Rubi Ann Amaya has been named valedictorian of the | ||
| Class of 2023 at West Oso High School in Corpus Christi, and she | ||
| indeed merits special recognition for receiving this significant | ||
| honor; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only | ||
| intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the | ||
| highest academic standards; in securing her place as the | ||
| top-ranking student in her class, Ms. Amaya demonstrated a thorough | ||
| understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of | ||
| this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable | ||
| high school career; and | ||
| WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being | ||
| recognized for her hard work, she has gained the opportunity to | ||
| address her fellow seniors at commencement and to reflect on their | ||
| shared history as well as their hopes and ambitions; and | ||
| WHEREAS, During her years at West Oso High School, Rubi Ann | ||
| Amaya has earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers and | ||
| classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and commitment | ||
| to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future | ||
| for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Rubi Ann Amaya on graduating as | ||
| valedictorian of the West Oso High School Class of 2023 and extend | ||
| to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the | ||
| next exciting chapter of her life. | ||
