WHEREAS, Rubi Ann Amaya has been named valedictorian of the | ||
Class of 2023 at West Oso High School in Corpus Christi, and she | ||
indeed merits special recognition for receiving this significant | ||
honor; and | ||
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only | ||
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the | ||
highest academic standards; in securing her place as the | ||
top-ranking student in her class, Ms. Amaya demonstrated a thorough | ||
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of | ||
this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable | ||
high school career; and | ||
WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being | ||
recognized for her hard work, she has gained the opportunity to | ||
address her fellow seniors at commencement and to reflect on their | ||
shared history as well as their hopes and ambitions; and | ||
WHEREAS, During her years at West Oso High School, Rubi Ann | ||
Amaya has earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers and | ||
classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and commitment | ||
to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future | ||
for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Rubi Ann Amaya on graduating as | ||
valedictorian of the West Oso High School Class of 2023 and extend | ||
to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the | ||
next exciting chapter of her life. | ||
