Summary

As introduced, changes the appointing authority for county health officers and county health directors from the commissioner of health to the county mayor; requires the commissioner to concur in the mayor's appointment; requires county health departments to comply with the direction and rules of the commissioner of health. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 58; Title 68, Chapter 2 and Chapter 550 of the Public Acts of 2021.
