A RESOLUTION

Honoring Jasmin Daly as a 2013 Division IV State Wrestling Champion.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Jasmin Daly on winning the 2013 Division IV Ohio Athletic Conference Grade School State Wrestling Championship in the 120-pound weight class; and

       WHEREAS,  Jasmin Daly's accomplishments are truly noteworthy, for she has clearly demonstrated her talent and perseverance, as well as her mental and physical fortitude as a wrestler. A sixth-grade student at St. Kateri Catholic Academy, she won this year's Division IV Ohio Athletic Conference Grade School State Championship in the 120-pound weight class and became the first female state title winner in the history of the competition. She has exemplified all of the characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world, including courage, integrity, and an innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship; and 

       WHEREAS,  By developing such remarkable prowess as an athlete, Jasmin Daly has earned the appreciation of her fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans, and the respect of even her most determined rivals. Her outstanding record of achievement stands as a hallmark worthy of emulation, and she has inspired countless individuals to excel in numerous areas of endeavor; and

       WHEREAS,  Wrestling is a sport that requires exceptional strength, stamina, and natural ability, and Jasmin Daly is to be commended for her commitment to this demanding activity. In attaining her athletic goals, she has certainly distinguished herself as a true champion; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Jasmin Daly on her recent distinctions and salute her as a fine Ohioan; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jasmin Daly.
